The Mythology of Self captures the rapid, fluid states of subconscious, revealing personal and collective truths through vivid abstraction and symbolic figuration.
(Believe your lie; Make sure to cry; Your character precedes you. Sympathy collected; Accountability rejected; You’re really not what you seem. You’d like to be; What others see; When your act is thick. But victim hood; Doesn’t age good; And you’ll have to change your story. It’s always a race; To find good grace; Against the sands of your ego. Pained though I must; Finally call your bluff; And set little me to free. I’ve found them for years; With those same kinds of tears; Which turned out to be a pattern. It’s been a long-healing road; Taken years to unload; Your highly compelling delusion.)
